Who Are MLW?
We aim to create a new culture of learning, appreciating varied capabilities of students and offer a programme that will provide students with greater employability when they leave school. Bringing students and local employers together assists in developing the skills sought after by employers and provides the host company with an opportunity to influence educational training.
Employers are introduced to 14-19 year olds in full time school or college based education. The process will help students develop the skills being demanded by employers and give employers an opportunity to influence vocational education and training.
The programme offers young people the opportunity to work with an employer on a structured work-based learning programme that will support work undertaken in the classroom.
Students will have the opportunity to develop work related skills as well as gather evidence to support curriculum activities whilst experiencing the world of work!
